So New Jessie is closing October 6th. Obviously no other Neutral Battlefields, Sodium is a shitshow because of the people running it.
We could do Outlands again, Early to Mid Next year.
That gives us time to get the Assets done, and the builds done. For the sake of speeding things we could build one sim in Milopolis on the ground level, then when the sims are bought we can slap the same build into a Rezzer and Rotate it to create all four sims. After that we'd spend a few days rearranging the sims layouts to make them a little more diverse. The same base concept of having a giant tower in the middle of all four sims is ideal here for Render Occlusion.
Sims would be covered by Minus and Myself. We wouldn't be connecting Milopolis at that time as I personally think connecting our Sim before The Outlands was done was part of the reason the original project was never finished. This also helps drive in the fact that while Chaos Members would be fronting the project it is not Chaos Continent.
The time frame gives us the chance to iron out some of the problems we were having during the OUtlands that were hard to address while the sims were operational and active.
Theme wise we'd be looking at a Cyberpunk style city with Modular Building assets. I'd like to talk to Zayne and Skye Flaks about building. OR FORAN IF HE DOESN'T MESS IT UP BUILDING IN BLENDERP UNITS AGAIN THIS TIME, AND CAN MAKE REGULAR CORNERS!
Eventually the goal might be to attach and attach other militaries but we'd do so cautiously.
What are your guys thoughts? There's a lot of other things Minus and I talked about but most of the systems from teh original Outlands could be Reused and Upgraded.
New Jessie closureOctober 6th. Time for Outlands 2?

Re: New Jessie closureOctober 6th. Time for Outlands 2?
I love the idea. If Jew Nessie is closing then honestly good riddance. It's usually touted as the place to go for lonewolves and such, but the last few times I've been there, there were issues with NPVs, Secondary Lionheart guns, that kind of shit.
However.
Don't go forgetting things we've already discussed on the matter. I'm not saying we -can't-, just trying to keep heads out of clouds and feet on ground.
Funding:
You, Hadet, do not have the cash to pay for this. You've stated a few times now in TS that you're broke as shit. Minus might not be, but as it is Saera is having to go chinese gramma on people just to pay for our own sim.
Building:
If, through some dark pact or ungodly selling of our assholes, manage to fund this thing, the last CC has proven that we can't actually build all that well under fire as we claimed. Maybe one day we might've been able to, but not then. I'm aware that there were issues with builders and assets, but some of those issues still exist. Zayne isn't on that often, nor is Dread. Flyne may be able to help here, but don't overwork the poor bastard too much. Burnout is a thing. Plan, create, and build before opening.
Community interest:
Honestly, I'm not sure where this is at right now. Syla might be able to help with hype. Maybe Dark, as well, actually, if he isn't looking at doing the same thing.
If these issues can be solved, then I'm totally on-board.

Judging from what I heard on the TS it seems like a lot of people are overhype for the idea. I know you know better gaydet but I think everyone should be aware that we shouldn't pull the trigger on this for months and months and months from now.

Well there's a few things that are going to be different. We're not going to get the sims until AFTER the builds are already done That way we're not sitting on empty sims for MONTHS. We also don't plan on connecting any militaries right away. The admin structure will happen the same way as before, where every group in teh community will get a community elected admin and if that admin fails to be active they will be removed and replaced so that we generally always have an admin active. Well will continue to push teh communiy R&D agenda we started in The Outlands 2 years ago in providing a public armory. Most of the scripters we know that aren't Dread are back in SL and working on things with us.
The Rules will be touched up in light of how disruptive some people were in The Outlands and the New Jessie continent 2 years ago. People that are continually disruptive will be removed for temporary amounts of time with a maximum of a Month as to how the Mercz CC was doing things. It's just too much work to constantly have to keep an eye on a small handful of people in the community that have the intention to ruin things for everyone. If a group itself decides to be disruptive to the project that group itself will no longer be allowed until their behavior becomes less toxic to the project.
This project like the Outlands before it is not a going to be a commercial venture and is going to be all volunteer. We're looking at a time frame of sometime within the next 8 Months for completion and NOTHING is going to be rushed. All assets on the ground will be "sold" to an ALternate Builder account so that accidentally object moving or returning is impossible, as what happened in the actual Outlands sim a month into the original Outlands.(Altcake is still to be griefed on sight for this)
The color palette will be revised to have a most Cyberpunk feel to it with bring neons, and metals and reflective things, one zone will be like a park with greens ect. The idea is to make the sim more interesting as before the verticality will mostly be provided using building and the density of the builting will help provide cover from the air.
We've learned a lot about how to do things right and how to do things wrong let's make this last one count and hopefully AniMesh will be out by then and we can have NPC's for people to interact with roaming around. If the SLMC is a bad community to do this in we might evnetually move it over to a proprietary meter but my end goal is to always attach more sims and provide a new Comtinent for Military Groups to participate in larger scale things.

Good. Any combat continent will utterly fail because of ass punchers and lent lickers.
